About this board game

Deluxe Advanced Squad Leader is a two-player tactical board game released in 2019, with games lasting about 120 minutes. It presents the Advanced Squad Leader experience on enlarged 2.2-inch hexes, creating room for more than a dozen counters in each hex without stacking.

This expanded format makes the game easier and faster to play while keeping units visible on the board. Informational counters can often be placed alongside units, and some markers, such as Covered Arc markers, are unnecessary when unit placement within a hex communicates the information.

The game includes eight full-color, geomorphic 11-by-26-inch mapboards depicting both urban and countryside terrain. Eight sheets of overlays add flexibility by modifying the terrain, including wooden and stone rubble overlays and two sheets of new terrain overlays.

Deluxe Advanced Squad Leader contains all the boards and scenarios from the long out-of-print Streets of Fire and Hedgerow Hell. Its original 18 Deluxe ASL scenarios have been updated and rebalanced, while 20 additional out-of-print scenarios have also been revised for inclusion.

The repainted original boards are compatible with the tri-fold Deluxe maps i-l from Winter Offensive Bonus Pack #9. Whether you have enjoyed Deluxe ASL for years or are discovering larger hexes for the first time, this package offers a spacious way to play.
