About this board game

Diabolik: Heists and Investigations is a hidden-movement board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Players experience the impossible thefts of the comic books either as Diabolik and Eva Kant or as Inspector Ginko and the police.

The Criminals must complete two of three available heists to win. They move hidden in the shadows, leaving traces behind them, while the Police investigate those traces and try to disrupt their plans. Cards create different situations from turn to turn, keeping each investigation unpredictable.

When Diabolik or Eva is discovered, the criminals must flee across the main board in full view of the cops. This creates a tense shift from concealed movement to a visible pursuit, as the Police work to keep track of their targets and close off opportunities for escape.

  • Criminal objective: complete two heists while managing hidden movement and the traces left behind.
  • Police objective: raise the Danger Level to its maximum on the Danger Track.
  • Police support: call on up to four Police Officers to help keep corners of the city under observation.
  • Changing situations: use cards to introduce different possibilities throughout the game.

Normally, solving a Clue raises the Danger Level by one point, but other ways to increase it are also available. If Diabolik or Eva completes a Heist, however, the Danger Level falls, giving the Criminals a chance to recover.

On each turn, a player may perform up to three individual actions. Drawing, discarding, or playing cards is the exception, since these actions may be repeated. With hidden trails, escalating danger, and sudden flights across the board, Diabolik: Heists and Investigations turns every move into part of a criminal investigation.
