About this board game

Diceland: Space is a tabletop ship-to-ship combat game for 2–8 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Released in 2003, it uses the core mechanics of Diceland: Deep White Sea while moving the action into the universe of Strange Adventures in Infinite Space.

Combat is represented by colorful, pre-cut paper dice that assemble with tabs and slots. Each eight-sided die is approximately two inches to a side and made from sturdy 12-point coated cardstock, creating solid game pieces for normal play.

This 50-die expansion is divided into two different 25-die boxes. Together, they introduce new abilities such as Cloak, Remove, and Dodge, while giving players their first opportunity to build customized Diceland armies.

  • Terrans vs. Urluquai: an 11-die Terran force with fast Scouts and a powerful 15-point Destroyer; an 8-die Urluquai army with a Corvette and a Cloaking Fighter; and a 5-die Zorg army with a carrier and a teleporting Tender.
  • Garthans vs. Muktians: an 11-die Garthan army featuring Light and Super Carriers; an 8-die Muktian force with unusual ship designs; and a 5-die Tan Ru army containing a 15-point Decimator and three Drones.

Each box also contains a distinctive extra die: the 16-point Klakar Frigate in Terrans vs. Urluquai, and the 50-point Yellow Kawangi in Garthans vs. Muktians. With multiple armies, specialized ships, and striking paper components, Diceland: Space expands the tactical possibilities of the Diceland system.
