About this board game

Dinosaur World is a 2021 board game for 2–4 players with an approximately 120-minute play time, centered on building and experiencing a park filled with returned dinosaurs.

The triumph of bringing dinosaurs back to the world is now public knowledge, and new parks are opening regularly. Visitors are eager to enjoy exciting encounters with these species, but every thrilling attraction can also bring tragedy. Making sure each visitor signs a safety waiver is therefore an important precaution.

Each round follows a series of distinct stages. You begin by drafting a new résumé card to acquire workers, then use those workers to develop your park and obtain DNA through public actions. After that, further workers let you take private actions to improve what you have built.

• Draft a résumé card and acquire new workers.
• Spend workers on public actions, park construction, and DNA.
• Use additional workers for private improvements.
• Drive your jeep around the park to experience its attractions.

Across the game, you earn victory points in a variety of ways as your park takes shape. The jeep-driving stage lets you experience the wonder and excitement of the dinosaur park you created, while the possibility of visitor deaths reflects the risks of overly enthusiastic encounters.

At the end of Dinosaur World, accumulated deaths can cost you points if they exceed the permitted amount. Once those penalties are applied, the player with the most points wins.
