About this board game

Dominion is a card game for 2–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes, challenging monarchs to expand their kingdoms through on-the-fly deck construction.

Each player begins with an identical, very small deck. In the center of the table, a selection of cards is available to buy as players can afford them. The cards you choose—and the way you play them when they appear in your drawn hands—gradually shape your personal deck.

Your goal is to find the most efficient route to victory points by the end of the game. As you compete for unclaimed land, your growing deck represents the tools of your kingdom, including minions to hire, buildings to construct, improvements for your castle, and money for your treasury.

• Each player starts with an identical small deck.

• Construct and refine your deck as you draw and play cards.
• Compete for the most victory points by game end.

Dominion is not a Collectible Card Game, although its play is similar to constructing and playing a CCG deck. The game includes 500 cards, with 25 Kingdom card types available for selection.

For each play, choose 10 of those 25 Kingdom card types to include. This creates immense variety from one game to the next while keeping the focus on card choices, hand management, and building an efficient path to victory. Released in 2008, Dominion is part of the Dominion series.
