Dragonarium

About this board game

Dragonarium is a tile-placement game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Across twelve rounds, players draft land tiles, manage elemental resources, and construct an ideal dragon-arium.

Each drafted tile shows one or two land types. Place it to expand your connected domains out and up, creating a spatial puzzle that rewards careful placement. The growing arrangement is more than a landscape: tiles also contain dragons waiting to hatch.

After placing a tile, choose one of its land types to activate an element token circling your player board. As the token passes by a row or column, it provides the energy needed to hatch dragons found on placed tiles. The resource mechanism makes timing and position central to every turn.

• Tile placement: Build connected domains across a growing dragon-arium.
• Element management: Use fire, water, wind, and light tokens as they circle the player board.
• Dragon hatching: Place a tile on top of a ready dragon to release it into your dragon-arium.

When a dragon is released, the land where it nests gains the dragon’s element. This lets the new dragon help connect domains, intertwining the landscape with your growing collection of creatures.

Dragonarium combines a robust traditional spatial puzzle with drafting, resource management, and tactical timing. Decide not only where to build, but also when and where to hatch each dragon so its domain contributes to the structure you are creating.
