About this board game

Dungeon Date is a fast card game for 1–4 players, with approximately 45 minutes of play time, in which adventurers build stylish outfits while romance, friendship, and monster-slaying compete for attention.

Each turn, players choose and reveal action cards before visiting one of four dungeon doors. When you encounter a monster, match the style symbols required for your chosen action to romance, befriend, or slay it. Your collected monsters can later contribute to your renown.

Other adventurers may complicate your plans. If players visit the same door, they must fight by comparing the fight value on their current action card with the value on the card they played during the previous turn. Careful planning can help you pursue the encounters you want while dealing with rival adventurers in the dungeon.

• Build an outfit: Assemble adventuring gear featuring style symbols.
• Visit the stylomancer: Enchant your outfit with additional style symbols and claim a personal style.
• Collect monsters: Romance, befriend, or slay creatures encountered at the dungeon doors.
• Compete for renown: Score from monster sets and in-fashion style symbols in your final outfit.

At the end of the dungeon season, players score renown for sets of monsters they have collected and for style symbols that are in fashion in their final outfit. The player with the most renown wins.

With its playful fantasy premise and direct card-driven choices, Dungeon Date turns dungeon exploration into a contest of style, encounters, and timing. It was released in 2022.
