Evenglow

About this board game

Evenglow is a light strategy game for 1–4 players that takes about 45 minutes, casting you as an alchemist tending mystical gardens in an ancient grove.

Deep in the Evenglow Forest, mysterious ground allows peculiar plants to grow. These plants can create potions with the power to alter reality and grant magical abilities to those who taste them. Yet the grove demands balance: alchemists must harness both Sunlight and Moonlight for the plants’ power to manifest.

Careful planning is at the heart of every garden. You will plant tiles in your Sunlight and Moonlight gardens, mirroring each placement so that one plant is placed in sunlight and the other in the corresponding moonlight position. Different plant types require different configurations to thrive, giving each choice a strategic purpose.

• Build balanced Sunlight and Moonlight gardens.
• Place pairs of plants in mirror-opposite positions.
• Meet the configuration requirements of different plant types.
• Use some plants to create potions that can speed your journey.

Turns happen simultaneously. The active player chooses two plants for themselves and two plants that all other players will receive, then everyone places their plant pairs in their gardens. This shared selection creates a distinctive rhythm as players develop their own plans from the plants available to them.

After a certain number of rounds, players add up the points from their Sunlight and Moonlight gardens. The alchemist with the highest score wins. Evenglow features gorgeous watercolor art from Clémentine Campardou, known for Wyrmspan and Origin Story.
