About this expansion
Evolution: Continents is a board game for 2–4 players with an approximate play time of 30 minutes. Released in 2012, it expands the Evolution setting across two different continents and a separate ocean location.
The supercontinent of Pangaea has broken apart, allowing evolution to follow different paths on each new continent. These locations develop their own unique communities of animals, while all aquatic animals occupy the ocean.
Animals on different continents have their own food supply, and development in each location proceeds independently. This creates distinct environments within the same game, with animal communities adapting to the conditions around them.
- Two separate continents with independent development
- A dedicated ocean location for aquatic animals
- Separate food supplies for animals on different continents
- New properties that support adaptation and migration
New properties in Evolution: Continents help animals respond to a changing environment. They can also sometimes enable animals to migrate between continents, connecting the otherwise independent locations.
With its divided world, separate food supplies, and changing environments, Evolution: Continents presents a broader setting for animal communities. It brings continental adaptation, aquatic life, and occasional migration together in a compact experience for 2–4 players.
