Factory Funner

About this board game

Factory Funner is a factory-building game for 1–6 players that takes about 40 minutes to play. As factory managers, players select and install machines, connecting their input and output pipes to the correct reservoirs or to other machines.

Each new machine brings revenue, while every reservoir and connector, or pipeline, costs 1K money. The aim is to create the most profitable configuration while keeping your factory ready for future additions.

At the start of each round, a number of machines equal to the number of players is available. Players choose simultaneously, quickly working out which connections may be possible before grabbing the machine they want. Acting fast can secure a desirable tile, but choosing too quickly may leave you with a machine that does not fit well.

• Select and install one machine each round.
• Connect input and output pipes to reservoirs or other machines.
• Pay 1K for each reservoir and connector you build.
• Balance quick decisions with flexible future connections.

A key tactic in Factory Funner is preserving the most and best options for connecting machines later. Good planning can help you expand without sacrificing valuable money to unnecessary construction.

After eight rounds, players compare their money, and the player with the most wins. The second edition, Factory Funner&Bigger, keeps the same gameplay while adding a deeper box and more connectors, using slightly different colors for better usability and removing the “jump” machine because of its high luck factor and rules difficulty.
