About this board game

Fearsome Floors is a 2-7-player race game with an approximately 60-minute play time, challenging players to escape a dungeon before it crumbles after 14 turns.

Players race toward the exit, which could be reached in as few as seven turns if the dungeon were peaceful. Unfortunately, the corridors are home to a very hungry monster that is always seeking fresh prey. Every move can bring a player closer to safety—or place a piece directly in danger.

Each round, players take turns moving one disk at a time. After moving, the disk is flipped to reveal the movement points available for the next round, creating a changing rhythm of movement and planning. Players can also try to guide the monster toward an opponent’s pieces, although a clever plan may cause the creature to come after them instead.

The dungeon is filled with hazards that make the race especially dangerous. Pieces may slide across blood slicks, be crushed between a boulder and a wall, or be threatened when the monster is teleported to another part of the board.

With its collapsing-dungeon deadline, unpredictable movement, and opportunities to redirect danger toward other players, Fearsome Floors combines a fast-moving escape challenge with tense tactical decisions. The game continues the FFF saga from Friedemann Friese’s earlier game, while standing on its own as a hazardous race through the lair of Fürst Fieso.
