About this board game

Feurio! is a 30-minute board game for 1–4 players about placing firefighters in a forest and trying to bring a spreading fire under control.

Players pursue two connected objectives: fight the most dangerous fires to earn points, with higher numbers adding more to the score, and occupy at least one water source. Your points are divided by the lowest-numbered water source you occupy, making control of these locations a crucial part of the game.

The fire constantly changes the available space. It limits where firefighters can be placed and can eliminate water sources, forcing players to adapt as the forest develops. The direction of the fire’s spread is shaped by the current situation, but careful observation can make it possible to predict where it is likely to go.

This creates a highly territorial contest filled with blocking and chasing. Players must weigh the immediate value of fighting a dangerous fire against the longer-term importance of reaching or protecting a water source before the flames remove it.

Feurio! also includes both a solitaire variant and a cooperative variant, offering different ways to face the spreading fire. Originally released in 2003, it combines changing board conditions, positional competition, and score management in a compact forest-fire game.
