Fief: France 1429 – Crusades

About this expansion

Fief: France 1429 – Crusades is a 2015 expansion for Fief: France 1429, supporting 3–6 players in a game lasting about 120 minutes. It adds a new way for the nobles of 15th-century France to pursue power and prestigious fiefs.

In this expansion, the Pope or a Cardinal may appeal to the Crusades. Lords can then be sent on a dangerous adventure against the infidels, creating fresh opportunities to earn fiefs. The call to crusade brings a new dimension to the dynastic ambition at the heart of Fief: France 1429.

The Lords may choose to undertake a crusade cooperatively. Working together can lead to prestigious rewards, but success depends on defeating the armies of Saladin. The expedition is risky, so the promise of new fiefs comes with the possibility of serious setbacks.

• New units to bring into the conflict
• New cards that expand the game
• A new map board for crusading adventures
• The possibility of assistance from Templars or Teutonic Knights

Templars and Teutonic Knights may be called upon to assist the crusaders, adding further possibilities to the campaign. Whether the Lords cooperate for a common objective or seek the benefits of the adventure, every crusade offers a risky path toward greater influence.

With its new units, cards, map board, and crusade-focused objective, Fief: France 1429 – Crusades expands the setting with a dramatic struggle against Saladin’s armies and another route to prestigious fiefs.
