About this expansion

Fields of Fire: The Bulge Campaign is a one-player campaign game with an approximately 300-minute play time, covering the 9th Infantry Regiment “Manchus” during three weeks of intense combat in the Battle of the Bulge.

Set from December 13, 1944, to January 8, 1945, the campaign follows the 2nd Infantry Division as it fights through the forests, fields, and villages of the Ardennes. The attack north through the Siegfried Line begins on December 13th, after the division gathers at Camp Elsenborn to prepare for the renewed offensive.

This campaign includes seven new missions and a dedicated Terrain Deck for the Ardennes battlefield. The setting reflects the difficult terrain and the German border defenses encountered by the division after its arrival east of St. Vith, Belgium.

The counter sheet adds forces and equipment associated with the campaign, including American heavy machine gun platoons and Bangalore torpedoes, as well as German armored and infantry units.

  • Seven missions covering the Bulge campaign
  • A new Terrain Deck for forests, fields, and villages
  • U.S. heavy machine gun platoon counters
  • Bangalore torpedoes, anti-tank mines, and wire entanglements
  • German tanks, assault guns, Panzergrenadiers, and Volksgrenadiers

Fields of Fire: The Bulge Campaign continues the story of the “Manchus” after their Normandy campaign. Their route through Brest, Paris, and the Schnee Eifel leads into the critical fighting of December 1944 and January 1945.
