About this board game

Flick of Faith is a flicking area-control game for 2–4 players that takes about 40 minutes. Rival gods compete to gather the most believers across the Archipelago of the Navel of the World.

Each player chooses a god with a unique power, then uses five wooden prophet discs and temples in their color. Across four rounds, players flick prophets into the map, aiming to place them on islands, knock opposing prophets away, and establish a presence where it matters most.

Every round unfolds through three phases:

  • Council Phase: Draw two cards featuring rule modifications, then vote on which new rule will affect the game.
  • Mission Phase: Take turns flicking one prophet into the archipelago. Gods may also use their special powers during this phase.
  • Conversion Phase: Gain victory points for islands containing your prophets or temples, with bonus points for dominating an entire island.

The central Navel of the World Island offers substantial bonus points based on how well your prophets are spread across the archipelago, but reaching it is difficult. A prophet that takes the city builds a temple to your greatness, giving your presence an enduring mark on the map.

Once a round ends, all prophets are removed and a new generation is ready to flick into the islands. The changing council rules and the gods’ special abilities create fresh tactical challenges, while every flick can disrupt an opponent’s plans or improve your own position.

After four rounds, bonus points are awarded. In Flick of Faith, the god with the most victory points becomes the winner.
