About this board game

Gardens of Babylon is a competitive euro-style board game for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes. As leaders of Babylonian gardening guilds, players compete to build one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and earn the most points.

Players take turns placing tiles to create a maze-like ziggurat of pathways. They also move their gardeners to gain positional advantages, then plant flower seeds on valuable tiles to claim them and score victory points. Every decision can shape the evolving garden and the opportunities available to rival guilds.

The game’s distinctive cascade mechanism adds an unpredictable tactical edge. Planting a seed can trigger cascades down connected waterways, potentially allowing players to steal claimed tiles from their opponents. A well-placed seed may change the course of the game in an instant, keeping everyone alert until the final turn.
