About this board game

Genesis is a board game for 2–4 players, with a playing time of about 45 minutes, set 250 million years ago on the super-continent Pangaea.

Earth has just endured its greatest extinction, and a new beginning is taking shape. As Pangaea splits apart, the continents gradually form while forests, savannahs, mountains, and wetlands appear across the recovering planet.

In Genesis, each player takes the part of a powerful force in the struggle for life. You may establish yourself as one of the following:

• Great reptiles
• Dangerous dinosaurs
• Powerful mammals
• Cunning man

As the world develops, animals evolve and strong species compete for territories within the emerging ecosystems. The barren Earth becomes a setting for conflict, adaptation, and the expansion of life.

The central question remains unanswered: Who will rule the earth? Genesis presents a dramatic contest for world dominance during a pivotal moment in the planet’s history, when continents are taking shape and species are battling for their place in the natural order.

Released in 2006, Genesis places the rise of new landscapes and the competition between powerful forms of life at the heart of its experience. It is a game of survival and ambition on a planet beginning again.
