About this board game
Gloobz is a fast-paced real-time grabbing game for 2–6 players, with rounds lasting about 20 minutes. Players race to identify and seize the correct colorful objects before their opponents can reach them.
Seven plastic items begin in the center of the table: three paint cans in blue, red, and yellow; three critters in triangular, square, and round shapes; and the all-color, all-shape boss gloob. On each turn, a player announces either “more” or “less”, then reveals the top card of the deck.
The announcement determines how players read the card. They must quickly grab the items whose colors and shapes are represented the most—or the least—on the revealed image. Each correctly grabbed item scores one point, while mistakes bring a penalty, so sharp observation and quick hands are essential.
- Magnifying glass: When this symbol appears, players may grab anything they want.
- Boss gloob: If the boss appears, grab it to score three points.
- Changing objectives: Every card challenges players to compare colors and shapes in a new way.
The target score required to win depends on the number of players. With its playful components, rapid decisions, and lively table presence, Gloobz creates an energetic contest in which everyone must think and act quickly.
Released in 2014, Gloobz combines visual recognition, speedy reactions, and direct competition in a compact game of colorful chaos. Watch the card, listen to the announcement, and grab the right figures before anyone else does.
