Hands Up

About this board game

Hands Up is a wild, fast hand-twisting game for 2–8 players, ages 6 and up, with an approximately 20-minute play time. Players race to imitate the hand position shown on each revealed card.

At the start of each moment, a card is turned over for everyone to see. Each player must look at the hand illustration and copy the depicted position as quickly as possible. The action is simple to understand, but the race to react makes every card a lively challenge.

The slowest player takes the card, turning delayed reactions into a growing collection. When the game ends, the player with the most cards loses, so speed is important—but avoiding a pile of cards is the ultimate goal.

The game contains 60 square cards, each featuring four hand illustrations. The Schmidt Spiele version contains 54 cards plus one instruction card. With its clear visual challenge and quick responses, Hands Up offers an accessible test of speed and imitation for groups of up to eight players.
