About this board game
Harbour is a worker placement game for 1–4 players, playable in about 60 minutes, in which players collect resources, purchase buildings, and compete for the most valuable town.
Move your worker from building to building throughout a bustling harbour town. Collect and trade Fish, Livestock, Wood, and Stone, then cash in those resources to purchase buildings from the central pool. Every building you buy becomes another worker placement spot under your control.
- Visit locations such as the Trader’s Guild, Masoner’s Hall, Sushi Shop, Pub, and Wizard’s Traveling Imaginarium.
- Gather and trade four types of resources as you plan each turn.
- Purchase buildings that provide points and expand your available locations.
The central building pool is only a small subset of the full deck, so the available opportunities differ from game to game. Whenever a player purchases a building, the market shifts: the value of the resources used drops, while the value of the other resources rises.
This dynamic market is at the heart of Harbour. Careful timing can help you benefit from changing prices, while a poorly timed purchase may leave valuable resources worth less than expected. Watch the market, look for bargains, and decide when to turn your stockpile into a new building.
The game ends after a player purchases their fourth building. Once that round is complete, the player whose buildings are worth the most points wins.
