Heroica: Fortaan

About this board game

Heroica: Fortaan is a LEGO dungeon adventure for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Players explore a castle built from grey LEGO bricks, moving through rooms on a grid as they search for treasure and face enemies.

Conflict is resolved with dice rolls. The die can show either a number or a symbol, and a symbol may let a player use a special weapon. This creates a straightforward adventure system in which exploration, equipment, and combat come together as the players progress through the castle.

Instead of using a traditional character sheet, each player has an equipment backpack. It can be filled with useful discoveries, including weapons, potions, and keys. What players find during their adventure helps determine the options available as they move from room to room.

Heroica: Fortaan can also be combined with any or all of the other games in the LEGO Heroica series. This allows its castle adventure to become part of a larger LEGO dungeon game experience while retaining the series’ focus on movement, treasure, enemies, dice, and equipment.
