About this board game
Horus is a tile-and-card game for 2–4 players, designed for about 60 minutes of play. Set in Ancient Egypt’s sacred Nile valley, it challenges great kings to unite the land of Kemet and build powerful kingdoms.
Use cards and tiles to guide the course of the sacred river and shape the surrounding landscape. Decide where the desert gives way to green marshes, red hills, and rich black farmlands, then use your influence to gain control of valuable regions.
Each decision helps define the growing kingdom while affecting the plans of your opponents. You may even build a holy necropolis to hinder rival expansion, or earn the blessings of the Horus temple through true and noble play.
- Card and tile play: Combine two simple systems to shape the Nile valley.
- Changing territory: Create a different arrangement of lands and regions from game to game.
- Player interaction: Compete directly for influence and valuable areas.
- Ancient Egyptian theme: Enjoy hieroglyphic tiles and playing pieces inspired by the deities of Egypt.
Easy to learn and play, Horus offers a casual experience with surprising strategic and tactical depth. The board is always changing, and mastery of the Nile remains delightfully elusive as players explore new territory and compete for control.
With 54 cards, 120 tiles, 80 wooden kingdom markers, and a tile bag, Horus provides everything needed for a contest of expansion and influence. Can you seize your destiny, unite the valley, and reign supreme as Pharaoh?
