About this board game
Ice Team is a two-player racing game that takes about 20 minutes, challenging players to lead their polar bears to the finish line while collecting as many fish as possible.
Each player has four bears to move across a field of round ice tiles. On a turn, choose one of your bears and move it in any direction over tiles featuring an ice floe, an igloo, or a malus. The route you choose matters, because the ice gradually disappears as the race continues.
Igloos hide fish that can increase your final score, making them valuable destinations along the way. However, malus tiles can work against you; a seal, for example, withdraws some of your fish. Balancing speed with the search for food is central to every race.
- Two-player competition: Race directly against one opponent.
- Four bears per player: Move your team across the icy route.
- Changing playing area: Visited ice-floe tiles are removed, creating gaps that bears cannot use on later turns.
- Fish-focused scoring: Reach the finish line with more fish than your opponent to win.
Because visited ice floes are removed from the table, the available paths become increasingly limited. A move that helps one bear advance may also affect the spaces available for future turns, adding tactical pressure to the race.
In Ice Team, victory belongs to the player who combines progress with careful fish collection. Reach the finish line, preserve as much of your haul as possible, and finish with the most fish.
