ICECOOL: Emerald Fish Promo

ICECOOL: Emerald Fish Promo is a 2–4-player promo for ICECOOL and ICECOOL2, featuring a traveling objective that adds a valuable 3-point reward to each round. It was handed out at Essen Spiel 2018.

The promo includes four cards and one emerald fish. At the beginning of each round, the current catcher places the Emerald fish on any door in the game, creating a target that can influence every penguin’s movement.

Once any penguin—including the catcher—goes through the door holding the Emerald fish, that penguin takes it. The fish does not remain safely with its first owner, however: if another penguin runs into the penguin carrying it, the other penguin receives the Emerald fish.

This means the Emerald fish can travel between penguins multiple times during the same round. Players must pay attention not only to the door where the fish begins, but also to opportunities to intercept the penguin that currently holds it.

When the round ends, the penguin holding the fish receives the Emerald fish point card. Worth 3 points at the end of the game, this small promo component gives the round a shifting focus and makes successful movement, interception, and timing especially important.

Designed for use with ICECOOL or ICECOOL2, ICECOOL: Emerald Fish Promo offers a compact additional objective that can change hands repeatedly before the round is over.
