Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North – Barbarian Hordes is an expansion for 1–4 players, with a play time of 90 minutes, released in 2020. It adds two new barbarian clans to the Empires of the North game, giving players fresh factions and unique card decks to explore.

One of the new clans is made up of daring pirates. These seafaring barbarians sail the sea on their abundant rafts, bringing a distinctive theme and identity to the expansion. Their presence broadens the range of clans available in the Empires of the North setting.

The second clan consists of notorious robbers. This group is known for sabotaging other clans and demanding ransom, introducing a clear focus on hostile interaction between the competing factions.
