Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North – Egyptian Kings is a 2021 expansion for 1–4 players, with a play time of 90 minutes. As the fourth expansion in the line, it introduces two brand-new faction decks to the game.

The expansion brings two distinct Egyptian concepts to the table. Each deck offers its own focus, giving players different ways to experience the setting and manage their empire.

• Hatshepsut: A clan located on the Nile Delta, built around the theme of fertile fields.
• Amenhotep: A faction designed around the passing of centuries and the sands of time.

The Hatshepsut deck introduces a new mechanism involving Field cards. Players assign workers to these cards to make them more fertile and effective, linking worker placement directly to the development of their fields.

The Amenhotep deck focuses on change and decline over time. Locations in the deck will decline and be discarded at the end of the round unless the player spends resources to keep the card in their Empire.

These two decks give Egyptian Kings a clear contrast between cultivation and impermanence. One emphasizes making fields more productive through assigned workers, while the other asks players to spend resources to preserve locations as the centuries pass.
