About this board game
Inspector Moss: House Arrest is a solo deduction game for one player, designed to take around 30 minutes. Investigate the mysterious death of millionaire baker John Dough, found battered at his country manor during a social gathering.
An injunction prevents the guests from leaving, but it will not last forever. Explore a house made from 25 room tiles, question suspects, collect useful evidence, and make the most of the limited time available.
Each turn, roll seven white dice and one colored time die, with up to three rolls. You can use up to six dice to carry out actions, matching numbers to move to destination tiles, using four consecutive dice to gather evidence, or spending three matching dice to receive assistance.
- Explore: Move through the 25-room house by matching dice to destination tiles.
- Investigate: Gather evidence and use it to eliminate suspects.
- Manage time: Advance the time marker according to the time die and any wild sixes used for actions.
- Arrest: Identify the final suspect and escort them to the waiting police car.
There are 10 possible suspects. To win, eliminate nine of them with enough evidence, arrest the remaining suspect, and complete the escort before time runs out.
With its dice choices, room-by-room exploration, suspect elimination, and escalating time pressure, Inspector Moss: House Arrest challenges you to investigate efficiently and solve the case before the injunction expires.
