Jungle Rumble

About this board game

Jungle Rumble is a 30-minute board game for 2–4 players, released in 2013, in which you lead a herd of cats through a vivid forest. Your cats must do your bidding as you mine, build plantations, water your farm, and recruit more helpful kitties.

Each round, several action tiles are available. On your turn, choose one action and place as many of your cats on it as you wish: more cats create a stronger action. Every other player may then take that same action, but only at a strength of one cat, creating an important choice between committing your herd and letting others follow.

Once everyone has chosen an action, unchosen actions are sweetened for the next round. The start player marker then rotates before the next round begins. As your herd grows, you can take additional actions, but expansion comes with a cost: your cats must be fed, or they will wander off into the forest.

Jungle Rumble rewards players who balance developing their feline workforce with managing the resources needed to keep it together. At the end of the game, points come from several parts of your growing operation:

• The size of your feline herd
• The amount of water supplied to your field
• Your supplies of food and gold
• A few other scoring elements

Choose actions carefully, build your capabilities, and keep your cats supplied as you compete to become the champion of the forest. In Jungle Rumble, every cat can contribute—but only if you can manage the herd.
