About this board game
Just in Time is a 2013 board game for 2–4 players, with a playing time of about 40 minutes. Each player races to place their pieces on their own game board faster than everyone else.
Speed, however, is only part of the challenge. As pieces are placed, they leave gaps on the board, and the location of those gaps determines which numbers can remain available for scoring.
The central idea is simple to explain but difficult to master: fill your board quickly while leaving gaps in the right places. A fast placement is not enough if it does not preserve valuable numbers.
In Just in Time, points are waiting in the gaps created by your playing pieces. The goal is to make the highest possible numbers survive, turning carefully chosen empty spaces into a stronger score.
Every game combines a race against the other players with the challenge of making the most of your own board. You must balance the urge to place pieces immediately against the need to protect the best scoring opportunities.
With room for 2–4 players and an approximately 40-minute play time, Just in Time offers a focused contest built around placement, speed, gaps, and numbers. Its appeal comes from the tension between finishing first and leaving behind the most valuable possibilities.
