About this board game
KeyForge: Age of Ascension is a two-player card game played in about 45 minutes, released in 2019. As an Archon, you command a unique deck drawn from the second age of the Crucible and compete to unlock its Vaults.
Each deck contains three Houses. At the start of your turn, declare one House; for the rest of that turn, you may play and use only that House’s creatures, technologies, artifacts, skills, and upgrades. Because cards have no costs, choosing a House lets you play and use any number of its cards for free, creating quick turns filled with activity.
Your company can pursue different paths to victory. Send creatures into battle to weaken opposing forces, or use your followers to reap Æmber and build your pool. The challenge lies in balancing both priorities: focusing only on collection can leave your forces vulnerable, while fighting without gathering Æmber will not bring you closer to victory.
- Forge a key when you have six Æmber at the start of your turn.
- Be the first player to forge three keys and win the game.
- Explore a card pool of 370 different cards, including 204 new cards for Age of Ascension.
The two-player starter includes two unique Age of Ascension Archon Decks, a Quickstart Rulebook, two poster playmats, and the keys, tokens, and chain trackers needed to begin playing. KeyForge: Age of Ascension invites you to discover, explore, and master an entirely new collection of Archon Decks.
