About this board game

Klondike is a gold-panning game for 2-4 players, with turns that take about 20 minutes to play. Designed for ages 6 and up, it combines tactile marble drawing, careful panning, and betting with a bluffing element.

On each turn, the active player draws three wooden marbles from a bag. The colors determine what has been found: black and grey marbles are gravel, while yellow marbles represent gold nuggets.

The drawn marbles are placed on the riddle, a circular aluminum plate. The player then tries to “pan” the gold, creating the central challenge of the turn. Other players bet on the result, adding uncertainty and opportunities to bluff as they judge what the active player may uncover.
