About this board game

LA-1 is a story-driven, cooperative adventure game for 1–5 players, with each case taking about 90 minutes. As detectives for Mace & Doyle Investigations, you work together to solve cases in the post-apocalyptic city that was once Los Angeles.

Most detective work takes place beneath the perpetual dark clouds left by the bombs. In a city divided by class and dominated by status, your team must gather clues, interrogate suspects, and go on stakeouts while an all-consuming Darkness threatens to close in on every investigator.

Each case can be played on its own or as part of a campaign. Multiple cards can send an investigation in different directions, creating changing situations and outcomes from one playthrough to the next. This gives you a reason to return to cases and explore how a different path might unfold.
