About this board game

Ladybohn: Manche mögen’s heiss! is a standalone bean game for 3–5 players, with play lasting around 60 minutes.

This game combines the Bohnanza base game with the Ladybohn expansion and adds babies to the mix. Its 110-card deck features a reworked distribution of the basic beans, including male, female, and baby versions of several bean types.

As in the original Ladybohn expansion, female beans have better beanometers than male beans. When you harvest a field topped by a lady, you will likely receive more coins, making the bean at the top of each field especially important.

Babies bring a different challenge. They have no beanometer, so harvesting a field topped by a baby is worthless. However, when a baby is planted in a field, a female bean in that field can move two cards toward the top of the stack, helping bring superior females where they are needed most.

  • 110 cards, with a revised distribution of the basic beans
  • Male, female, and baby versions of selected bean types
  • Female beans with stronger beanometers than male beans
  • Babies that enable female beans to move two cards toward the top

Planting a baby can therefore change the order of a field, while harvesting requires attention to which bean is on top. The result is a distinctive take on the Bohnanza formula that puts the special abilities of female beans and babies at the center.

Released in 2007, Ladybohn: Manche mögen’s heiss! is included in English as part of the standalone expansion Bohnanza: Ladies & Gangsters.
