About this board game

Layers is a pattern-matching puzzle game for 1–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Turn, flip, and overlap a set of five layers to recreate the pattern shown on a mission card, then aim to finish faster than everyone else.

Each layer has a unique shape, while its front and back use different colors. That means every solution demands careful attention to both the shapes and the visible colors as layers are combined into a single design. A small change in orientation or side can make the difference between a correct pattern and an almost-right one.

Mission cards offer a variety of challenge levels, using anywhere from three layers up to all five. This gives players different patterns to match while keeping the central puzzle easy to understand: study the target, manipulate the layers, and complete the design as quickly as possible.
