Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game is a two-player Living Card Game set in the realm of Rokugan, with games lasting around 90 minutes. Released in 2017, it places players in a world of samurai, mystics, mad dragons, and divine beings.

In Rokugan, the clans serve the Emperor while navigating courtly deceptions, power plays, and open conflict. They wage war against one another and confront the evil forces that threaten their realm, where honor can prove stronger than steel.

Players create individual decks from a base game containing a fixed set of cards. Supplemental card packs can then be added to the game world, with each pack also offering a fixed set of cards that helps vary the experience from one game to the next.
