Legendary: Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a semi-cooperative deck-building game for 1–5 players, with sessions lasting about 60 minutes. Based on the popular TV series, it lets players use fan-favorite characters such as Buffy, Angel, Willow, and Giles while confronting powerful Big Bads and their nefarious Schemes.

Players work to stop the current threat, but victory and defeat are clearly defined. The players win if the Big Bad is beaten four times. They lose if the Big Bad is able to complete their Scheme, creating a shared challenge for the whole group.

A distinctive feature of Legendary: Buffy The Vampire Slayer is its light/dark track. This track influences characters’ strength and is designed to boost the thematic feeling of the Buffy universe as the struggle against darkness unfolds.

The 2017 core set contains 500 cards and provides a broad selection of heroes, enemies, supporting characters, and game effects. Its contents include:

• 15 Heroes, 5 Big Bads, and 7 Villain Groups
• 5 Henchmen Villain Groups and 8 Schemes
• 40 Watchers, 20 Initiative Soldiers, and 15 Potential Slayers
• 30 Bystanders, 30 Wounds, 11 Scheme Twists, and 5 Master Strikes
• 60 Dividers

Whether played solo or with a group of up to five, the game combines deck-building with a shared fight against the Big Bad. Build a team from familiar characters, manage the light and dark influences on their strength, and try to overcome the Scheme before it is completed.
