Legendary Encounters: A Firefly Deck Building Game is a cooperative deck-building game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Set in the Firefly universe, it asks players to take on the roles of characters from the series and work together to complete objectives based on episodes from the Firefly TV show.

Each player selects an Avatar from the game’s Main Characters. Every game includes 5 Main Characters and 4 Supporting Characters, bringing all 9 crew members into play. The 14-card stack for each Supporting Character is shuffled together to create the Crew Deck, which players use to build and improve their personal decks.

As the game unfolds, players must coordinate with their crew and make effective use of the cards they acquire. The team can also upgrade Serenity to gain advantages, but the ship must be protected: too many ship strikes can put the mission at risk.
