Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game is a fully cooperative deck-building game for 1–5 players, with a 60-minute play time. Based on the four movies of the Alien series, it challenges players to cooperate in order to survive against hordes of aliens.

Players take on the roles of protagonists such as Ripley, Dallas, Bishop, and Corporal Hicks. On each turn, players recruit cards from a central selection, improving their decks and building the resources needed to confront the growing threat.

Xenomorph cards are added to the central game board, creating the main danger for the group to overcome. Success depends on working together as players develop their decks and defeat the aliens. The game features original art throughout and is part of the same family as Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game; the two games are compatible, but cannot be fully integrated.
