About this board game

Less is a simple strategy board game for 2–4 players with an approximate play time of 30 minutes. Set up the nine board pieces in seconds, place the game pieces, and begin playing with rules that can be learned in less than a minute.

In the two-player game, each player aims to move their four pieces to the opponent’s starting corner. The challenge is to reach the other side before the opponent moves their pieces to yours, creating a straightforward race where every move matters.

The board is set up randomly at the beginning of every game, giving Less more than 100,000 possible combinations to try. This changing arrangement keeps the starting position from being the same every time and makes each new game a fresh strategic puzzle.

Less can also be expanded for four players by adding another set of tiles to the deck. In this team version, partners work together to bring both of their pieces to the opposite side before the other pair does the same.
