About this expansion

Lewis & Clark: Bauza & Cathala is a 2014 board game experience for 1–5 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It features a promotional card for Lewis & Clark built around a shared flow of primary resources.

When the card is used, the active player randomly takes two primary resources per player from the stock. The active player may keep up to two resources, placing them on their boats, then gives any remaining resources to a player of their choice.

The receiving player may also take up to two resources for themselves. They then pass whatever remains to a player of their choice who has not yet received resources from this card. This creates a continuing chain in which players decide both what to take and where the remaining resources should go.

  • Resources are drawn randomly from the stock.
  • Each player may take up to two resources when receiving them.
  • The active player places kept resources on their boats.
  • Remaining resources move to a player who has not yet received resources from the card.
  • Any resources left after every player has had a chance are returned to the stock.

The process continues until all players have had an opportunity to receive resources. Any resources still remaining at that point go back to the stock, completing the card’s resolution.

In Lewis & Clark: Bauza & Cathala, the entire table participates in this sequential exchange. The result is a concise resource-sharing procedure shaped by player choices, random resources, and the order in which players receive them.
