About this expansion

Lords of Hellas: Atlas is an expansion for 1–4 players with a 240-minute play time, adding two distinct gameplay modules: The Garden of the Hesperides and Atlas Overload.

The expansion includes a 120 mm plastic Atlas monument, 15 Golden Apple tokens, a plastic weight token, and a double-sided board. Atlas arrives fully built, allowing the model to be used in either module.

In The Garden of the Hesperides, Atlas can enter the game as a fourth monument. Players send up to six hoplites beneath him, one at a time through their normal actions. When all six spaces are covered, the hoplites are sacrificed and players receive Golden Apples according to how many hoplites they contributed.

Golden Apples are an additional resource that can be consumed at any time for varied effects. They can heal a hero wound, save a hoplite from death, add strength to a battle, or provide more powerful bonuses when multiple apples are exchanged.

  • Atlas monument supplied as a single fully built miniature
  • Double-sided board supporting both expansion modules
  • Golden Apples with several immediate uses
  • Rules for a two-player game variation in the Hesperides module

Atlas Overload replaces the standard ending in which the game ends when a monument is fully built. New temples, monument parts, and monsters add weight to Atlas’s track. If the value reaches 12, the crisis begins, and the value decreases by one at the end of each player’s turn.

Heroes can be delegated to the Aid to Atlas quest, leaving the board for the rest of the game while increasing the weight track by their strength. If the track reaches zero, Atlas shuts down completely and all players lose. Lords of Hellas: Atlas creates a tense countdown alongside its resource-driven Golden Apple module.
