About this expansion

Lords of Hellas: Lord of the Sun is an expansion for 1–4 players, released in 2018, that adds Apollo’s monument, Muses, and new powers to the game.

The expansion includes a five-part Apollo monument, six Muse models, ten blessing cards from Apollo, and nine Muse cards. Together, these components introduce fresh elements centered on recruiting Muses and using Apollo’s influence.

Apollo’s monument provides several distinctive abilities. It can help you recruit Muses, choose upcoming events, refresh your special actions for your own use, and use monsters on the board.

Muses can dramatically change the game once recruited in a region under your control. Each Muse acts like a hero, meaning other armies cannot attack her. The nine Muse cards determine their special abilities, so the Muse you recruit can provide different advantages during play.

• Gain bonuses such as healing wounds.
• Increase statistics.
• Gather hero tokens.
• Earn glory tokens through battles in regions containing your Muse or Muses.

While on the board, Muses can help you gain glory tokens in addition to their individual abilities. For example, winning a battle in a region where one of your Muses is present awards a glory token for that land.

With its Apollo monument, blessing cards, and varied Muse abilities, Lord of the Sun adds new ways to interact with events, special actions, monsters, and regional battles in the world of Lords of Hellas.
