Magic: The Gathering – Explorers of Ixalan is a multiplayer free-for-all experience for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. Choose a rival tribe, explore a tile-based map, and battle your opponents while searching for the lost city.

Play as the Vampires, Pirates, Merfolk, or Dinosaurs. Each tribe is represented by one of four 60-card decks, giving players a distinct way to join the struggle for dominion over Ixalan. Defend the Golden City against your opponents as you uncover the secrets hidden across the island.

Exploration is central to the experience. As you reveal new game tiles, you may discover bonuses that can swing the tide of battle in your favor. However, your opponents are also competing for these locations, so every site tile can become part of the wider contest.

Some discovered tiles trigger immediate effects, while others create quests that reward you when their conditions are met. Events and tile-based discoveries help bring different locations across Ixalan into the game, from its open sites to the inner jungles concealing powerful secrets.
