About this board game

Manno Monster is a real-time tile-flipping game for 2–4 players that plays in about 25 minutes. Across nine rounds, players race to reveal the monster lineup required by each party invitation and compete for the best-scored diamonds.

Each player receives fifteen double-sided tiles. Every tile shows one monster on one side and another monster on the other, with each possible duo of the game’s six monster types represented once. The monsters combine two traits: fat or thin, and red, blue, or yellow.

At the start of a round, reveal a task card showing which monsters have been invited. The challenge might require exactly two fat red monsters or at least one thin blue monster. Players then flip their tiles simultaneously, trying to display a valid arrangement as quickly as possible.

  • Real-time competition: everyone works at once, racing to complete the revealed task.
  • Six difficulty levels: later tasks introduce fuzzier conditions, such as having more yellow monsters than red monsters or the same number of blue monsters as fat monsters.
  • Diamond scoring: the first player who believes they have fulfilled the task collects the most valuable diamond, while other players may still score if they finish within the allotted time.

Each difficulty level includes 18 tasks, offering a broad range of monster-party puzzles. The combination of double-sided tiles, changing requirements, and a race against the clock keeps every invitation focused and tense.

After the ninth round, the player with the best-scored collection of diamonds wins. With its quick rounds and escalating task complexity, Manno Monster turns visual logic and fast hands into a lively party challenge.
