About this board game

Manoeuvre is a two-player battlefield command game played in about 60 minutes, set during the early 19th century. Players lead opposing armies across chessboard-sized battlefields, moving units and fighting in one-on-one engagements.

Each nation combines a force of 8 units with a dedicated 60-card national deck. These cards represent the army’s specific troops and unique strengths, giving each side distinctive assets to manage as the battle unfolds.

Multiple geomorphic game maps provide changing battlefields for your clashes. The modular map layouts create different spaces over which to manoeuvre your forces, positioning units carefully as you seek the advantage.

The available armies are France, the United Kingdom, Russia, Spain, Austria, the Ottoman Empire, Prussia, and the United States. Each nation brings its own deck and army identity to the contest, encouraging players to make the most of their country’s particular capabilities.

As commanding General, your task is to utilize your units and cards effectively, manoeuvre across the battlefield, and win the individual fights that shape the wider engagement. In Manoeuvre, battlefield supremacy belongs to the player who uses their army’s assets most effectively.
