Map Masters

About this board game

Map Masters is a dungeon-crawling card game for 1–5 players in Cooperative mode or 2–5 players in Versus mode, with games lasting about 60 minutes.

In this adventure of path-building and discovery, you create your route card by card through the dark rooms of a dungeon. Play solo, work together in Cooperative mode, or compete to collect the most valuable Discoveries.

In Versus mode, each player first builds their own Dungeon using five cards. Players then draw their Path, aiming to collect Discoveries that match the round’s Objective. At the end of the round, points from Discoveries along each Path are checked against the Primary and Secondary Objectives to determine Victory Points.

• Build a personal Dungeon from five cards.
• Draw a Path through the dungeon to pursue the round’s objectives.
• Collect Coins to purchase new Cards or Tokens from the Market.
• Use encountered Optimizers to improve your deck.

Cooperative mode challenges players to jointly manage groups of adventurers and complete a mission. Before and during the game, players discuss their strategy, then explore the dungeon clockwise. On each turn, a player places a card on an empty space of the tableau and draws a new card.

When a group miniature can be connected to an objective, players trace its path. Fulfil the mission requirements to win. With every card presenting a crucial decision, Map Masters offers a fresh challenge in every game.
