About this expansion

March of the Ants: Minions of the Meadow is a board game for 1–5 players with a 90-minute play time, released in 2017. It gives colonies powerful new tools for their conquest of the meadow.

Breed Major Workers, larger ants that evolve alongside your colony. Their abilities can help you scout the best territory or lead your armies into battle, adding new ways to explore, expand, and fight.

Aphids offer another path to growth. Send ants to find them, establish a symbiotic relationship, and herd them to new hexes where they have room to grow and provide a greater harvest.

Battle becomes less predictable through Tactics. Cards such as Feint, Ferocious Expansion, and Savage Cannibals can catch opponents by surprise and turn the tide of a conflict.

  • Major Workers: Evolving ants with powers for scouting and warfare.
  • Aphid Farms: Symbiotic partners that can be moved to new hexes and provide greater harvests.
  • Parasitic Evolutions: Infect opposing ants and corrupt their most powerful evolutions, forcing opponents to share their gains.
  • Tactics: Battle effects that create sudden surprises and shift the outcome of combat.
  • Predators: The Centipede Broodmother and Trapdoor Spider, terrible beasts drawn to the greatest colonies.

These additions create a meadow filled with opportunities and threats, from carefully cultivated aphid farms to parasitic attacks and roaming predators. In March of the Ants: Minions of the Meadow, colonies must use their new tools as they pursue expansion and prepare for battle.
