Mindbug: Suspicious Gift Promo Card

About this expansion

Mindbug: Suspicious Gift Promo Card is a 2023 promo card for 2 players, designed for games with a listed play time of 25 minutes. It introduces a distinctive control effect and a serious consequence when the card is defeated.

When this card is played, the opponent takes control of it. That immediate change makes the card’s Play effect central to its identity, creating a clear shift in who controls the card. Its second effect matters when the card is defeated: you lose 2 life.

The card therefore combines a control change with a direct life penalty. The opponent’s control begins when the card is played, while the life loss is tied specifically to the card being defeated. These two effects are the defining rules details of this promo card.

• Players: 2
• Play time: 25 minutes
• Release year: 2023
• Play effect: The opponent takes control of this.
• Defeated effect: You lose 2 life.

As a standalone addition to the Mindbug card line, Mindbug: Suspicious Gift Promo Card offers a compact rules package with an unusual control interaction and a clearly defined cost. Its effects are easy to identify: control passes to the opponent when it is played, and defeating the card causes you to lose 2 life.

Additional 2023 promo cards are available in Mindbug: Beyond – Add-On Pack. This card is specifically identified as 2023 Promo Card 1.
