Mythwind: Friends & Family

About this expansion

Mythwind: Friends & Family is an expansion for 1–5 players with a 60-minute play time, bringing new villagers, relationship milestones, and social interactions to the growing village.

Players can visit other characters to benefit from their expertise and use the new socialize action to build friendships with local villagers. Each playable character also gains a unique way to interact with every other character in play, adding fresh opportunities for cooperation and connection.

Villagers begin as acquaintances and can progress through several friendship stages: friends, best friends, and ultimately life partners. Advancing these relationships unlocks unique stories and new possibilities within the community.

• Villagers: Meet new members of the community and develop relationships with them.
• Socialize: Contribute hired workers to a combined dice roll when using buildings associated with villagers, with the chance to increase friendship status.
• Alternative buildings: Villagers join the town when their associated buildings are constructed. Building the Printing Press brings Aidan to the Community Board.
• Partners: Reaching the partner friendship level unlocks a villager’s special ability.

Characters may also pursue certain villagers for lifelong partnerships that can lead to marriage and even children. These relationship paths give the village a more personal sense of development as its residents become increasingly connected.

With its character-specific interactions, evolving friendships, and relationship-driven story elements, Mythwind: Friends & Family expands the community side of the Mythwind experience. It offers players new ways to cooperate, strengthen bonds, and shape the lives of the villagers who join the town.
