About this expansion

Nemesis: Retaliation – Sangrevores Expansion is a 2025 expansion for 1–5 players, with a play time of 180 minutes, introducing a completely new enemy race and a dangerous new layer to the semi-cooperative experience.

This time, there is no Queen. Instead, the Sangrevores are led by a mighty King, an ancient being awakened from a long slumber. The story begins when mining scavengers discover a mysterious capsule made from non-human bones and transport it to the nearest human base for investigation.

Contact with the King or the Blood Spectres can change more than your immediate survival prospects. Your character may become converted, potentially transforming your secret objective in the middle of the game while leaving other players uncertain about what has happened.

• Infection cards: Some attacks give you hidden infection cards placed beside your special objective. Only you can see them, and while many are neutral, some can turn you into a Hemodyne and shift your objective.
• Changing contamination: Instead of receiving a standard contamination card that occupies a slot, contact with the Crimson Despot or Blood Spectres can grant a unique ability representing mutation.
• Optional negative interaction: The new cards provide tools for players who want to increase conflict and suspicion at the table.

These mechanics add new uncertainty to every encounter. A player who appears to be pursuing one goal may have already changed sides—or may simply be concealing a neutral infection.

With its hidden information, shifting objectives, and conversion possibility, Nemesis: Retaliation – Sangrevores Expansion brings fresh paranoia and strategic tension to the game. The expansion lets groups decide how strongly to embrace its more confrontational tools while confronting an ancient threat unlike the familiar Queen.
